Hi!
Welcome To The Blog

What if I told you that you don’t need a louder script? You just need a way to sell more like yourself.
When I think back to the times selling felt stressful or performative, the real problem wasn’t what I thought.
Let me explain. What I was feeling was a deep misalignment between what I was being told to do (and say) and how I naturally wanted to show up in my relationships. Why should I look or feel different when I’m selling? The truth is, you shouldn’t.
That can be hard to believe because so many women experience imposter syndrome, which I wrote about here, How to Overcome Imposter Syndrome to Reclaim Your Sales Confidence. But really, you are the secret sauce in your business. You’re the reason people buy, connect, and come back. Your energy and personality attract the right customers, so take a deep breath. It’s all going to be okay.
In this article, I’ll share calm selling strategies that match your nature, rebuild trust (with yourself and your customers), and boost your results. Together, we’ll lean into your Authentic Sales DNA (get your guide) so selling feels natural, grounded, and sustainable. Sound good?
When I talk with women in business circles, many tell me they feel confident in their “thing,” yet deeply uncomfortable selling it. In other words, they’re sure about what they offer but unsure how to sell it.
That gap usually comes from using tactics that fight your personality. It’s simple. When your method clashes with your values, your brain throws up a caution flag. Suddenly, you hesitate when you want to take action, over-explain when you already know what to say, or even ghost your own business—despite being fully committed. The result? Missed opportunities.
The fix is just as simple. It starts with realignment, getting back to feeling like you in your conversations. When you sell as your whole self, confidence rises and buyers relax because they can finally feel and connect with the real you.
For more context on how self promotion patterns affect one’s visibility, see this Harvard Business Review analysis.

When you start exploring your Sales DNA, think of it less like building a system and more like rediscovering yourself. The goal isn’t to become someone new, it’s to notice what’s already working and lean in.
Start by paying attention to your Distinctive Traits, the qualities people already recognize and love about you. Maybe they describe you as warm, direct, thoughtful, precise, or encouraging. Choose three that feel the most true. These traits are your anchors. When you show up with them consistently in your sales conversations, people begin to feel that familiar sense of safety and trust.
Next, notice your Natural Communication Style. We all have one. Some of us are Storytellers who start with a moment and share the lesson. Others are Instructors who lay out clear steps and outcomes. Maybe you’re more of an Analyst who compares options and shows the tradeoffs. Or an Encourager who reflects, reframes, and invites the next step. Once you know your style, let it guide every message you share, that rhythm helps buyers learn how to follow you.
Then, bring your values into view. You don’t need a long manifesto, just one simple policy line that signals how you work. Something like, “No pressure tactics. You get the plan, the price, and space to decide.” That small sentence quietly builds enormous trust. This is the backbone of calm selling because it guides without pressure.
Still unsure? Record a quick two-minute voice memo answering a client’s common question, the same way you’d talk to a friend. When it sounds and feels like you, transcribe it, polish lightly, and use it as your sales copy. That voice, your real tone, is your advantage.
Calm is not passive. Calm is clarity. Calm is the sales strategy for smart women sick of being pushy or inauthentic.
When your message is easier to follow, people feel more confident about you. Cognitive research calls this processing fluency. You can geek out here in this article Processing Fluency in Consumer Judgement and Decision Making. Ease increases perceived credibility and reduces second guessing. On the energy side, you protect your capacity by choosing formats that match how you communicate best. Over time this creates sales confidence for women who want growth without burnout.
